Toni Durda, LAC, NCC
Toni is a Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC) and is certified by the National Board of Certified Counselors as a National Certified Counselor (NCC). She is a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional and is trained in EMDR. Her previous experience includes the rape crisis center of Albuquerque, New Mexico, La Frontera Arizona-EMPACT Suicide Prevention Center, and an internship with Catholic Charities. She is known for her warm, relaxed, and engaging approach to counseling. She utilizes a variety or of orientations and therapies, according to the client's individual needs. Toni’s approach involves genuine caring, acceptance, and non-judgment and works with clients from a strength-based, positive, and affirming perspective. She works with a wide range of issues, including depression, anxiety, self-esteem/self-empowerment, grief and loss, relationship/family concerns and individual counseling for personal and emotional growth. Toni's specialties also include working with clients with a history of childhood abuse, trauma, and PTSD.
Toni had a long-term goal to become a counselor and a helping professional, and she considers herself to be blessed to be able to work in a profession that she truly loves and feels passionate about. Toni believes it to be an honor to work with individuals and families as they travel through their path of healing, change, and self-empowerment.
Toni and her husband Ethan, enjoy spending time with their children (and daughter in law). They enjoy traveling, trying new restaurants, and just “hanging out” with each other. She misses the Northwest landscapes but gardens to add a little of “Seattle” to her backyard. Toni likes to bike and has been known to occasionally stay in her pj’s and binge watch a new series on Netflix.
